Nurses

During the week of Cub Weeks, we try to have two volunteer Nurses on Camp to handle minor scrapes and cuts. In addition to handling these minor bumps and scrapes, they dispense medications to the Cubs (and Counselors if they wish), and help with any emergencies that may arise. In case of an emergency, 911 is called and the Nurses help stabilize anyone needing emergency attention, along with other Camp Personnel who are trained in emergency response (such as EMTs). Camp Staff has a prearranged plan for directing such emergency vehicles to the right location where help is needed.

Nurses stay in Immanuel, an air-conditioned cabin that has two bedrooms, a living area and a kitchen area. Nurses are required to have their R.N. license and insurance. If interested in serving as a Cub Weeks Nurse, please contact Pastor Geitz, Dean of Cub Weeks @ (515) 573-8457.
